The EIS System as tool to track your clients improvements.

The cornerstone of The EIS System is the ability to monitor the efficacy of  treatment modality/protocol. Over the years this has proved an invaluable tool for licensed practitioners and therapists to enable them to track their clients current state of health according to certain physiological parameters.

Please note LD Technology does not necessary support any specific product protocol. The EIS System is a measurement tool and as such will enable the practitioner to gauge whether their treatment protocol is effective or not. Treatments can range from chemotherapy to antibiotics to herbs to nutritional supplements to other frequency generating devices. It is the aim of The EIS System to support all current protocols by offering a valuable tool to monitor client improvement.

Undesirable side effects

No side effects or adverse reactions are known to date. The EIS System delivers far less electrical energy than many other common biomedical devices. Specifically, 84.5 milliJoules (mJ; or 0.0845 J) of electrical energy pass through the body, distributed across different anatomical regions, in the 110 seconds of active scanning in an EIS examination. Expressed as electrical power (electrical power is defined as Watts (W). 1 Watt = 1 Joule/s), The EIS System operates at 0.00077 W.  To put this figure in perspective, compare the 0.00077 W to a standard incandescent light bulb using 60W of electrical power. The light bulb draws nearly 78,000 times more energy than The EIS System.

Contraindications

General Contra indications
  • Dermatological lesions in contact with the electrodes or excessive perspiration
  • This device should not be used in association with or presence of defibrillators, cardiac pacemakers, patients connected to electronic life support devices, or any implanted electronic device.
  • People unable to be held upright or seated
  • Metal pins or prostheses on the level of the extremities or the joints
  • This device should not be used on pregnant women. The effects on the foetus, as well as the accuracy of readings are unknown.
  • An absence of one or more limbs.
  • The site of the system: the ground in synthetic material and a relative humidity < 30% can prevent measurement. The system is sensitive to the important electromagnetic discharges owing to the fact that it measures a very low current.

Supplementary contra indications for the calculation of the body composition
  • Age ( < 16 and > 80)
  • Fever
  • Drugs
  • Strong alcohol or stimulants (amphetamines) 12 hours before the examination
  • Diarrhoea
  • Intense physical activity 8 hours before the examination
  • Edema

Warning

Training and certification are required to be able to use The EIS System.

The use of The EIS System requires level 1 training and level 1 certification . Basic setup and initial level 1 training and level 1 certification (quiz) are available online .

Level 2 is provided by LD Technology endorsed  trainers together with LD Technology. Typically level 2 trainings are provided by experts in the field of bio-impedance with The EIS System.

You are required to schedule your level 2 training upon completion of level 1 training. A certificate of training will be awarded to you upon completion of level 1 basic training.

DISCLAIMERS

  • The interpretation of The EIS System requires medical knowledge of physiology and of adequate references, the subject’s clinical context and a list of variables which can modify the results. The interpretation is the responsibility of the health care professional.
  • The EIS System does not replace or endorse any existing medical examination
  • This device is not intended to be used for diagnosis.
  • The result of The EIS System without any abnormal values does not mean that the patient is healthy; it means only that there are no interstitial fluid or extracellular volume disorders.
